Important Update About Gmail and Your Domain-Based Email

When we register and host a domain for you, we also set up custom email addresses like you@yourdomain.com — crucial for making sure you appear professional and trustworthy in the real estate industry.

Most of the real estate agents we work with prefer to continue using their personal Gmail accounts while still receiving and sending emails from their new domain-based email address inside Gmail. Until recently, we supported this by forwarding emails from your new address to your Gmail inbox.

However, Google has recently updated its policies and no longer permits email forwarding from external domains into Gmail accounts.

To work around this, we now (with your permission) access your Gmail settings and manually integrate your domain-based email address (the one we set up for you) so you can continue sending and receiving all your emails inside your familiar Gmail dashboard.

This solution works — but not always perfectly. Sometimes, emails stop arriving or sending properly because of settings that Google adds or changes. Sometimes emails don’t just stop arriving; sometimes your prospective home buyers and sellers receive bounce email errors—a very bad look for a busy real estate agent.

No one is apprised of these Google changes when they happen, because unfortunately Google does not provide any support for free Gmail accounts.

A BETTER LONG-TERM SOLUTION: GOOGLE WORKSPACE

Google does offer 24/7 support — but only to Google Workspace users. That’s why we’ve made the decision to become official Google Workspace Resellers.

Does Google Workspace cost anything? Yes, but as Google Workspace Resellers, we can provide it to you at a significantly reduced cost. And unlike Google, we provide:

  • Converting your Gmail account to a Google Workspace account
  • Setting everything up for you — including integrating the domain-based email we set up for you
  • Quickly and securely migrating your emails from your Gmail account to a new Workspace account
  • Offering a significant discount on your Workspace plan
  • Connecting you with Google 24/7 support

SO WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?

If your current setup is working consistently and you don’t believe you are missing any emails — don’t change anything. There is no reason to fix what you don’t believe is broken.

But if you’ve been having problems with emails not showing up or failing to send, or even worse, with potential home buyers and sellers sending you emails and receiving error messages that make it look like you are not legitimate or don’t even exist, switching to Google Workspace could be a very smart move.

We’re here to make that transition seamless. Just reach out to us and we’ll handle the rest.
